Here’s a step-by-step breakdown of our easy & pleasant process…
1. DESIGN It
Windows, & doors are big investments. You essentially get one crack at it, so you have to be 100% sure you’ll love the look you choose years from now.
That’s where we come in. Our “Daydreams To Design Details” process revolves around providing the perfect products for your specific tastes. We brainstorm with you to determine the exact look you want. Then we create a distinct solution just for you. There are no “stock” projects at The Men With Tools. Every job is custom-tailored to every customer.
2. ORDER It
With your home measured and products chosen, we special order the materials from our suppliers. It can take them 4-6 weeks to arrive, so while this part of the process can seem like “down time”, for us it’s “go time”.
While waiting for your materials, we’re busy coordinating the details of your project and assembling a handpicked installation team. Once your materials arrive, we map out a precise outline of your project schedule. We don’t have such a thing as “down time”. We’re always actively working on your project to ensure it’s done as quickly and efficiently as possible.
3. INSTALL It
We have distinct and highly detailed installation processes for our window and door services. Our systems were developed by our owner John Kolbaska, who has over 25 years of industry experience. For each service we provide, John sat down and wrote out all conceivable steps in the installation process. He then organized these steps into special blueprints our installation crews follow to a “t” on all jobs.

4. INSPECT It
After we’ve installed your project, owner John Kolbaska personally performs a final walkthrough 1-2 weeks later. If something is even 0.001% off, John will find it and we’ll fix it immediately. (And if you’d like John to come out sooner, just let us know!)
John is so meticulous that he catches things the homeowner doesn’t even notice. That’s how we hold our installers accountable, too – they know how painstakingly thorough John is with his inspections!
5. GUARANTEE It
The end of the installation is only the start of our relationship. We provide a free one-year anniversary inspection to ensure your project is as perfect as the day we installed it.
